Week #82 Bristol

This week started off well in Bristol and I have been pretty amped all week!
We went to some meetings in Bath which was pretty cool and we had some
Elders staying at our flat due to a mold problem in there’s haha. Sounds familiar! But
we also went to Kingston kind of out by London area for our assistant
exchange which was pretty cool! We talked a lot about goal setting and how
important it is to have long term and short term goals
leading up to meeting the long term ones. It actually really helped me out while I
studied in PMG about goals and accountability. Elder Ballard says
those who set goals will have more purpose and meaning in their life!
We had some sweet miracles with finding the people the Lord has
prepared so we will see how those people progress in the future! With
the long drive back to Bristol we got back to our area in the evening
on Saturday and had a sweet DA with the Campbell family. They were
down to do some missionary work so we're helping them with that! Love
members who want to serve the Lord. We also had a sweet lesson with
our main mate Henry! We brought a return missionary who served in
South Africa and he spoke some of Henry’s native tongue Zulu so they
both got on really well! Henry is progressing really well and has had
no real concerns so far so I pray he makes his date for the 24th of
February!
We had our interviews with President Gubler and the zone this week
which was good! The interviews lasted ages so Elder Bos and I didn’t
even get an interview! But it’s okay because Sister Gubler was sick
and we had a stake correlation meeting to go to. We drove President to
his hotel in town and he said he owes us dinner and a good interview
so it’s all good! We did some sweet trainings for the zone and got
them amped for missionary work. I taught them what it meant to be
shipshape and Bristol fashion! It’s a talk by Elder Cook in October
2015 if you wanna check it out! Talks about how missionaries in
Bristol needed to be shipshape and Bristol fashion meaning they needed
to be righteous and centered in Christ for when bad times come. I
though it was pretty cool an apostle talks about Bristol because he
served here so I used that to get everyone excited haha!! Good stuff!
President was talking with us at the end of interviews and saying how
we are doing a good job but we need to be better tomorrow. Whatever
we did today isn’t good enough for tomorrow because Satan will try
harder! He applied it to us in family home evenings and personal
studies back home. Each day they need to be better and better because
the world is become more evil each day! Hit me hard but also an
attitude of hard work and diligence. He said a closing prayer and
tuned the keys to let it rain blessings in the Bristol zone and I felt
the power and authority behind that blessing he put upon the zone!
More good things coming this way!
Great week filled with good things but next weeks need to be better!
Love the mission. Have a good one!
