Week #83 Bristol

This week we had some proper miracles for sure! Elder Bos and I are
going as hard as we can for Christ right now and it’s been a blast to
be apart of it all! We have been teaching Shaun and the family a lot
and things have been progressing more! Kayden, the young boy, said
he wants to be baptized soon so we are working for the 24th with
him! His parents are coming to church more and doing the addiction
recovery meetings every week and they can see how it’s changing their
families lives. It’s been a humbling experience for me to see so much
change in this family! I have faith they will all join and find
happiness soon(:
We also taught this kid named Tyron who came to church on Sunday with
his grandma. He hasn’t been baptized because his family went less
active before he had the chance but he came up to us saying how he wants
to be baptized so bad if his parents let him. We were excited to hear that so
we taught him the restoration and he knew everything! So we're also
working on him for the 24th depending on his parents as well! Should
be teaching him tomorrow.
Had a sweet lesson with Mathew last night on the plan of salvation
which went really well. He wants really bad to be forgiven for the things
he has done in the past so the atonement of Jesus Christ hit home for
the bloke. He was loving it and really wanting to be better so we are
trying to help this lost soul! Also, Henry was off the chart this week
because he was feeling poorly so he didn’t come to church or meet with us. We
are seeing him tonight to teach him more to make the 24th of Feb for
his baptism! He’s still reading and praying so we just need to go over
commandments with him which should be a breeze! Excited for Henry!
I had exchange with a good mate from the mission Elder Madsen! He came
into the mission when I was in Croydon and now he’s a district leader
in the Bristol zone so it’s been fun working with him. He played b
ball at Lehi and is a beast. We had a spiritual exchange finding,
teaching, and just talking about how we can be better servants for
Christ. It was cool because I tried my best to give him advice that
has helped me on the mission with studies, prayer, and working by the
spirit. He took that advice and ran with it!! He’s already using the
advice I gave him and then telling me how it’s going haha. Pretty cool
to see him run with it! Good friend for life he is.
This week prayer has been big for me but also thinking of my Savior
and His sacrifice! Everyday we should be thinking of Him and how we
can come closer to our Father in heaven! I know that Jesus Christ
lives and loves me personally! Very grateful for that in my life and
hope to share it more others others(:
