Week #71 Croydon

Heyyyyy Everybody!!!!!
This week has been pretty crazy but filled with some solid times as well. After P-day last week we were driving to an appointment and our tire popped, haha. We pulled over and changed it on the side of the road and then kept going but it did create a few problems during the week as we tried to get a new one. It's finally all fixed which is good...
On Thursday, we had a combined district meeting. We were able to get the Stake High Councilmen over missionary work, Julian Jones, to come and speak to everyone. He talked about the correspondence of the Plan of Salvation and the parable of the Good Samaritan and how they relate to each other. It was really interesting and helped me have a better understanding of it all!  I'm also planning on using this discussion while teaching investigators who know the Parable of the Good the Samaritan story really well, I think it will help them while learning about the Plan of Salvation. Side note... Dad, Brother Jones was the Stake President at the same time you were serving in London so maybe you remember him! I'll send a picture. Great guy!
Friday, we found this guy named Tent from Thailand! He's a student right now learning English and wanting to do big things in the world. He seems pretty cool and we are pumped to teach him more about Jesus Christ since he said he's Buddhist and has never really learned about Christ. I testified to him about how our Savior has helped me in my life and how He can help him if he's willing and he was all excited to learn more! That same day we had to bring a Elder Veenkers companion, who was a good member in the zone, to the temple because he was headed home.  He's already received a new companion so all is well!
We had Stake Conference this week which was good and a lot of the talks were about the temple which was cool! We also had a meeting with the Stake High Council about missionary work and after the meeting they fed us a ton of good food, haha. Always nice as a missionary!
Monday, we had to move flats because our old flat had a massive mold problem and our new one is  a sweet lookin place which is good. We had MLC in Staines which took us 2 hours to travel too! We talked a lot about how to hold the baptismal dates that we get to help our friends enter into the waters and follow Christ! Clovis our mate from the Congo is doing well! He couldn't come to stake conference cuz he had an emergency with his mum being sick so he had to attend to her. But besides that he's reading the Book of Mormon and coming to church so that's sweet. We are suppose to see him tonight and talk more about the plan of salvation which should be pretty good! Excited to teach him more.
Turning 20 on Saturday and that's a weird feeling for sure. Should be a good day because we have a DA with a sweet family from South Africa and then going to find some more people to bless!!

With this Thanksgiving season I just wanted to say I'm thankful for all of you(: have a good week!
